Biography

Adie is an Australian (from Tasmania) with an outrageous appetite for life. She started circus at age 18 after twelve years of studying gymnastics. All that training made sense as soon as she got on a trapeze and after three years at the National Institute of Circus Arts in Australia, she took on the world of circus in all its varied forms before arriving at NoFit State in 2008.

Adie performed swinging trapeze and hula hoops in three NoFit State productions, tabú, Mundo Paralelo and Bianco, before taking on the role of resident Lead Coach here in Cardiff from 2013 to 2015.

Qualified as a gymnastics coach (ACC 2003), a circus artist (BCircA, NICA 2006), personal trainer (REPS level 3 2013), social circus instructor (Cirque Du Monde 2006), holistic circus therapy (HCT 2013), introduction level aerial (NECCA 2014), Adie teaches swinging, flying and static trapezes, rope and silks, hula hoops, handstands, tumbling, youth circus, strength and flexibility.
